Storage provider Orison seeks funding via Kickstarter campaign

On January 25, Orison, an energy storage company, announced that its energy storage system is now available for pre-order on Kickstarter. According to the firm, its product will enable homes and businesses to reduce energy costs, provide backup energy during blackouts, and switch to renewable energy.
Eric Clifton, Orison co-founder and CEO commented:
“We are excited to give all consumers options and ability to choose clean energy. With Orison, we can enable a rapid shift to a clean energy grid while helping consumers use electricity at the optimal times without reducing quality or time of service. Orison is the first energy storage product that is beautifully designed to be part of customer’s daily life.”
Orison intends to use the money obtained through the Kickstarter campaign to complete UL certification, and finalize commercialization. Contributors to the fundraising campaign receives special pre-order discounts and other incentives. Orison’s first units are slated for delivery in the summer of 2016.
