Solar International Group buys Spanish PV manufacturer Tamesol

On December 12, Solar International Group Ltd. of England announce it had taken over Tamesol, a manufacturer of PV panels and systems including the acquisition of its production facility in Girona Spain.
ISG hopes to provide Tamesol with the resources to realize its plan for expansion. According to ISG, Tamesol has been manufacturing panels and photovoltaic systems for more than 12 years, supplying more than 1.6 million modules and operating in more than 30 countries.
ISG emphasized that Tamesol is currently experiencing a boom, and that the firm has a global presence from facilities in Girona, Los Angeles, Rotterdam, China, India and Taiwan, as well as partners in more than 20 countries.
ISG intends to multiply the turnover of all the companies in its renewable group and consolidate itself as a multinational leader in the renewable energy sector for the next 5 years.
Tamesol will provide PV solar panels for a series of Indian solar projects which ISG is promoting. The projects are located in the towns of Bengaluru, Bhuwaneswar, Ananthpur, Vayalpadu, Gujarath. This contract would mean for Tamesol a turnover of more than 100 million dollars.
ISG considers India as the most attractive market for investors in renewable energy and as having the most future potential.
