On October 13, Renovate America announced that Boynton Beach and Lake Clarke Shores have become the first municipalities in Palm Beach County to make the HERO PACE financing program available to local residents.

Boynton Beach and Lake Clarke Shores adopted the HERO by joining the Florida Development Finance Corporation’s residential PACE Program. The FDFC has partnered with Renovate America.

FDFC Executive Director Bill Spivey noted:

“By partnering with the industry-leading PACE provider, we aim to make residential energy and wind-hardening improvements more accessible and more affordable for homeowners in Boynton Beach and Lake Clarke Shores, while enhancing local economic growth.”

Per Renovate, the FDFC is a special development finance authority created by State Legislation under Chapter 288, Part X of the Florida Statues. Although not a state agency, the FDFC is a state-wide conduit issuer that provides access to capital for project finance and economic development. FDFC has assisted over 90 Florida-based businesses to finance over $1.2 billion in tax-exempt & taxable bonds for qualified projects and borrowers.
