On September 26, JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. announced that JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc., in partnership with the SEIA and a coalition of other solar companies, launched the nation’s first PV recycling program, which includes a network of recyclers that can dispose of decommissioned PV modules.
According to JinkoSolar, the program offers PV system owners a dedicated resource to responsibly dispose of modules once they reach the end of their life cycle.
In addition, the company announced that JinkoSolar modules recently passed toxicity characteristic leaching procedure tests. TCLP compliant JinkoSolar modules allow system owners more time and flexibility to dispose of the modules.
Nigel Cockroft, General Manager of JinkoSolar (U.S.) Inc. remarked:
“JinkoSolar has always been keen to ensure that its modules are clean and eco-friendly from cradle to grave. By passing TCLP tests and helping start this recycling framework, JinkoSolar has shown that it is a true leader in environmental responsibility.”
