Dominion Energy plans to acquire four North Carolina solar energy projects

On Aug. 3, 2017, Dominion Energy announced that it acquired two solar generating facilities and plans to purchase another two other solar farms later in the third quarter from subsidiaries.

Keith Windle, the company’s vice president of Business Development & Merchant Operations, commented:

With these acquisitions, Dominion Energy is well on its way to bringing into service more than 700 megawatts of solar energy in North Carolina and Virginia by the end of 2018. We will continue to develop and acquire clean energy projects that help customers meet their energy needs.

Per the company, the company expects to purchase additional projects later in the third quarter of this year.
