The Department of Energy (DOE) filed a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NOPR) under the Federal Power Act on Sept 29 to enhance grid resilience. According to the DOE, the proposed rule “allows for the recovery of costs of fuel-secure generation units frequently relied upon to make our grid reliable and resilient.” The NOPR requests FERC to act within 60 days. Stratton Report caught up with a few executives to share their insights on the DOE NOPR.
